A young man was killed by a truck driver while riding his bike home from work. While riding his bike, he was wearing high vis long pants and a high vis jacket. He was riding along the pedestrian cross way at an intersection when a truck driver impermissibly failed to stop. The driver was under the influence while operating his employer’s vehicle on his way in to work. The client was unmarried, but had a young daughter with his fiancé. He was the sole provider for the family and was only 32 years old. This was an especially tragic loss of a beloved father, partner, and son.
